Los Angeles serial killer, M.H., is already in prison for life because of the four gruesome murders he committed in the 80s and 90s. However, last month a jury found him guilty of more killings. In what has become known as the “Southside Slayer” case, M.H. has been convicted of killing six women and one fifteen-year-old teenager, one of whom was the niece of a former Los Angeles mayor. M.H.’s attorney was pushing for a sentence of life without parole, as the fifty-five-year-old man was the victim of a violent and abusive childhood. When the verdict was read, the jury said that the minimum sentence was not enough considering the seriousness of the murders and recommended that he be given the death sentence.
